Relevance - Key Words and Phrases

Search engine robots crawl, index and rank your website to check for relevance and quality.

Keywords

Menu tabs and website page names will be part of your URL’s (unique resource locator) or more commonly known as webpage addresses so be sure to include the appropriate keywords where possible in the menu and page URL.

For example if you are a building construction company and also build conservatories then under your services or products menu tab you might have a menu tab or page called “conservatories”.

“Conservatories” would then be your key word for this page – Your key word is the word that people will use to search for your products or services.

i.e. – URL =         http://www.yourcompanyname.co.uk/services/conservatories

Page Summary
Enter a page summary this helps the robot to identify and check the content of your page against your summary confirming that the content is true to the title of the page.

i.e. "Conservatories made to specification, free design service, free no obligation survey and quotation".

Page text
Utilise your key word effectively in relevant quality text.  Try not to over saturate the page and also try to use key phrases as well where possible.

This is how your webpage would then appear in a search engine listing along with the other websites in the list:

Yourcompanyname.co.uk|Services|Conservatories
www.yourcompanyname.co.uk/services/conservatories
Conservatories made to specification, free design service, free no obligation survey and quotation.
